NEWS & UPDATES
Georgia Storm and VRSA will be hosting a coaching clinic for VRSA recreational coaches. Anyone volunteering this season as a coach is strongly encouraged to attend, even if you have attended a similar course previously. The sessions will be age-group specific, and will cover practice drills, game strategies, fundamental coaching techniques, and ways to ensure player development.
The goal of the clinic is to encourage the base knowledge level for all volunteer coaches at VRSA, which will raise the player development expectations throughout all leagues. There is no charge to attend the clinic and this clinic does not replace the Georgia Soccer certification course.
August 21st, 6:00pm-7:30pm - Tots & U6
August 21st, 7:30pm-9:00pm - U8 & U10
August 28th, 6:00pm-8:00pm - U10 & U12
RSVP is not required - please dress for activity.
Fall Evaluations - August 18th & 20th
ALL players in U8 and above are REQUIRED to attend evaluations (even if you played with VRSA previously). These are not "tryouts" - evaluations are held to ensure all teams are as competitively balanced as possible. Evaluations take place on your age level's fields, between 6:00-7:30pm. Players will only need to attend one of the days, and should expect the evaluation to take no more than 30 minutes.
Please dress in soccer appropriate clothing. Cleats and shin-guards are recommended, but are not required for evaluations (they are required for games).
